It's not really the same thing, considering that was one man's decision, and Getter's will is apparently the collective consciousness of potentially billions upon billions of souls (And perhaps eventually all of them), all striving for the same goal.

It's also shown an apparent comprehension of reality that not even us, the readers can perceive.

Not really. It time travels and kills gods in one OVA, crosses dimensions and is revealed to exist in multiple iterations across the multiverse, and is revealed to be the omniscient will of existence that destined to consume all that is, in the comics.
None of that is incorrect, it is right there in the source material.
All of those source materials are available in english as well, and many people are aware of them first hand.
