2133873 No.2133873 [Reply] [Original]

It was brought up that a lot of people here do not share their serious Touhou doujin ideas because someone might beat them out and make a doujinshi with their exact idea.

I do not think that is very fun of you guys at all. No one will steal your ideas.

Personally I think /jp/ would be flattered if someone made their ideas into doujin material and would enjoy the work...

Well, at least they would providing the artist isn't completely shit. Seriously, it's not like anyone is getting paid for thinking up a Touhou scenario.

Also, doujin artists looking to steal ideas, do more Yukari == Maribel work. That would be awesome, thanks.

It's not even that. The problem is that a lot of us believe that the only person capable of perfectly recreating our inner ideas would only be ourselves.

It would be pretty sweet if it centred around a further conclusion to Remilia turning Sakuya into a vampire. Possibly ending with either a epic fight with Reimu after killing Remilia in another awesome fight OR Reimu and Marisa each turning to their own routes as time takes it's toll. Marisa would become a Magician and Reimu would end up being tempted or forced to turn to Yukari. Possible scenarios for this could include loneliness (assuming Marisa turns first) or simply a need for a shrine maiden because Reimu hasn't had a child to follow after her.

Thinking about it though, Marisa is probably the kind of girl to go with natural death though, having achieved most of what see wanted in life. Fun adventures.

but we are talentless hacks. If my favourite fantasy was followed fairly well, I'd be happy. Of course that's where the crux of the issue is; you can't trust others to interpret your ideas perfectly and I think it's safe to say we wouldn't trust western artists to make a good 'doujin'.

Still, that's never stopped me from going with the flow in some threads and posting how I'd like things to turn out between some characters. Or crazy takes on Touhou.

I remember the last one was a rather odd take on Reimu ultimately turning out to be a copy of her former self from the PC98 era, the legends of her exploits used by Yukari to ensure Gensokyo's essential line of shrine maidens never dries up, using the borders of history to bring forth another Reimu each time accounting for slight changes in hair colour. Technically she would be human because history recorded her as such but in reality whenever the line looks like it's dying off Yukari who wants to keep Gensokyo working brings another incarnation of Reimu.

Been done a few times, only difference in your scenario is she starts out as a maid rather than being turned into a maid to serve her new master.

Sakuya's past has been done to hell and back, hell, they even did one making her out to be a Lunarian. A theory I still consider to be rather out there. The whole 'she went there to kill Remilia but got her fate changed' is hardly new.

I actually did post the barebones of my idea here before. They were just supposed to be a little joke for the topic, but after turning them in my head for a while, I actually came to really like them a whole lot.

Sakuya, much like Patchouli, took shelter in the SDM after being called out for witchcraft. However, she entered the SDM just as the witch hunt craze was dying out, witch hunts only really taking place in isolated cities and towns. The town she's from had a clock tower in the middle, and it was how she initially found out about her ability to manipulate time. At this point, she still didn't have complete control over her ability, and she relied on watching the clock and other visual cues to tell her if her ability had worked or not. Remilia, interested in the various rumors of a witch still existing, began to hunt Sakuya down. After tricking Sakuya into entering a mansion with broken clocks, Remilia defeated Sakuya and took her to the mansion. Remilia gave Sakuya a stopwatch - one made by Patchouli - that would never, ever stop or skip a second. Initially alarmed by being taken into the mansion with vampires and witches, Sakuya eventually realizes that this is the only place where she could truly be accepted, considering the already odd, magical occupants that already inhabited it. Surprisingly, Remilia asks Sakuya if she'd like to leave the mansion and return home. Sakuya comes to the realization that she has no true home to return to. She says she'd rather stay in the mansion. After giving Sakuya her current name, Remilia laughs at how she knew from the very beginning that Sakuya was fated to work under her.

Keine manages her own history. Akyu would probably be the one who Yukari goes to as the girl who records Gensokyo's history. The detail need ironing out and obviously it's one of the really far out interpretations amounting to 'LOL REIMU IS A TIMELORD' so it doesn't hold much water compared to normal ideas. Still, I thought it was amusing.

Unlike others who raged hard when Chado wrote Reimu as a law of nature, I enjoyed it. Sure, the action and LOL POWERLEVELS were over the top to the point you could even argue he was insulting other characters, but the idea was rather interesting. That Reimu is a girl and a system along with how those two facts clashed to make her life hell. Even if Chado's writing isn't exactly perfect (but this is a Touhou doujin, expecting a work of art is rather foolish) the idea amused me as a different take on a character most people dismiss as dull.

China has an ordinary day until Sakura, Resin, Erin and these three appear with Nanoha being the StrikerS version. Then Fate comes out of nowhere and Rapes Nanoha with a strap on, then rapes Haruhi who is already being fucked by Kyon who's also fucking Kyonko. While Saber is part of a threesome between Shiro, Rin and Saber. And at the end it turns out that the entire thing was written by Cirno while Remiu looks at it with horror and Marissa has a nose bleed.
THEN A FINAL TWEEST where it turns out that Aya was dreaming the entire thing... then Fate rapes her.

There's a whole lot of ways to go with that. Hell, it's never even stated WHY the Prismriver sisters decided to go on their separate ways anyway. It may be suggested that they went separately to play their instruments at a higher level, but I don't really get why it was required that they split up in different paths. Well, maybe that itself is the reason that the phantom Prismrivers are always seen together. Layla was so heartbroken at having each sister split ways, she went and made their phantom forms have a personality that made them nearly inseparable.

I've had something going around for a while that goes something like the following:

1) Nitori, wanting to perform some industrial espionage (read: steal ideas) decides to take an expedition to the outside world.
2) She manages to drag along Reimu and a few others with her. Maybe Kaguya wants a new computer and Suwako wants to come because of the Mountain Industrial Revolution project or something.
3) They run into Marible/Renko.
4) Someone else sneaks through the portal into the outside world without them noticing (Tewi?)
5) Hilarity ensues.

Thread seems to have died down, but I would've wanted to see a doujin where Mima and Yuka fight for the last transfer from PC-98 era into Windows era. The entire doujin would be pretty much their fight, full of beamspam, guts, and manly tears. Yuka wins (obviously), but by the skin of her teeth, with Mima finally falling to the ground and fading from view.

This was another idea I posted, but I love it to all hell, despite the heavy historical inaccuracies. I makes me feel a bit conceited when my favorite Meiling idea is from myself. If I were to suddenly be blessed with writing abilities and drawing abilities, for sure, this would be one of the first ones I'd work on.

Meiling was a Chinese trader that decided to hang out with Remilia since she was the only European that would give her shelter during the tensions that led up to the First Opium War. Due to how human-like she was for a youkai, she was not initially aware that she herself was a youkai. She was the one that helped spread rumors of an elixir of life, and was one of the 500 girls that aided Xu Fu in his search for the elixir. She initially contributed her longevity to one of the various potions she herself tested during the search. She's an honest trader, so she knows how to act around guests and humans.
